Imagine for a moment a world with no access to health-care...a broken leg but no x-ray machine or doctor to make a cast; your child has a common disease because there are no immunizations available; your town has no doctor to attend to the sick nor help educate those who are well to sustain the health of their community.
As the medical and educational infrastructures crumble, the health issues of the people living there do not go away. Cardiovascular disease and cases of infectious disease continue to rise, and wounds go untreated. The infant mortality rate is over 100 for every 1000 live births compared to 6.75 for every 1000 in the US. One can witness the dire need for improved medical care and education.
A clinic with no water or electricity, no medical supplies providing aid and immunizations. Imagine this world for a moment.
Now imagine a doctor making a difference for the town of Ife.
Ife Mission is solely funded by the generosity of the Odocha family. In order to expand the efforts of the Ife Mission, they need assistance of individuals who believe in the philosophy of providing for basic health and educational needs and developing the African continent by empowering one African village at a time.
